Leiden

Crash course on Shimura varieties

On June 20-22, a crash course will be held at Leiden University on the topic of
Shimura varieties. The crash course is principally intended for PhD students
and advanced master students, but everyone is welcome to join!

Our focus will be on motivation and examples rather than technical details.
The teachers will be Francesca Bergamaschi, Bas Edixhoven, Arno Kret, and

Lenny Taelman. For more information see the website .
If you wish to participate in the crash course, please register
here .

This is just to get an estimate on the number of participants. We are trying to
obtain funding for reimbursement of your travel costs; if you will want to
declare your expenses, you can indicate so in your

registration. Note that we cannot yet make any promises.

Please forward to anyone who might be interested.

Kind regards,
Erik Visse,

Wouter Zomervrucht
