under supervision of Maarten Solleveld. Starting date: 1 december 2015
(but this is flexible) duration: one year, with the possibility to extend it another year
The postdoc will be supported by the NWO Vidi-project "A Hecke algebra approach to
the local Langlands correspondence". Candidates must have a PhD in mathematics, with a
specialization in p-adic groups, Hecke algebras or a related topic. The position involves a small teaching load (20%).
For more information see the
website or ask at this email.

Applications should include:
- cover letter
- CV
- research statement
- the names and contacts details of two mathematicians willing to write
a recommendation letter.
Applications can be submitted via the above website, until 30 September
2015.

Please feel free to forward this information to anyone who could be
interested.`

2) Mathematical Sciences, Korea Advanced Institute Science and Technology (KAIST)

Dear colleagues,

My department head requested to pass around the following job ad for a

tenured/tenure track position

to anyone who may possibly know who might be interested in applying.
Website.

Most of the courses are taught in English in the university and
Korean language proficiency is neither required nor considered.
While it is my understanding that the department is eager to hire
(a)(n) (algebraic) topologist(s) to fill the spaces of retiring
topologists within a few years, any subject of mathematics is also considered.
Salary level for international faculty members is internationally
competitive,(usually higher than the ones for domestic members)

as far as I was told.
Jinhyun Park
