Op 22 en 23 maart 2016 werd het 52ste NMC opgenomen in het BeNeLuxMC. Dit was een congres dat het KWG organiseerde samen met de Belgische en Luxemburgse wiskundige genootschappen. Het congres werd georganiseerd op het Science Park in Amsterdam.

"The program included plenary lectures by Ellen Baake, James Maynard, who gave the Beeger lecture, and Stefaan Vaes. The De Bruijn prize, established in honor of N.G. de Bruijn has been awarded for the first time in 2016.  The prize winner, Marius Crainic, gave a semi-plenary lecture at the conference.There was an exciting evening program on March 22 at the Koninklijk Instituut voor de Tropen, including public lectures by Marcus du Sautoy and Ionica Smeets. These lectures were open to the general public, and are included for participants of the conference."
