Later on, these formal systems became the heart of functional programming. Typed lambda calculus, with the famous Curry-Howard-de Bruijn isomorphism, became the source of applications in the realm of correcness of software, assisted by proof assistants and theorem provers. At a parallel track, term rewriting systems emerged, of which Lambda Calculus and Combinatory Logic are prominent examples. The development along this line was intertwined with the emergence of the theory of abstract data types. Recently, infinitary versions of both lambda calculus and term rewriting are studied. On the side of the originator one of the most important features behind 'securitization' is the separation between the collateral (the underlying asset pool) and the originator. In recent years with the advent of Basel II, the efficient use of capital and the integration of the European capital market, the European securitization market has increased significantly. This workshop will focus on the handling and the modelling of Asset- Backed Securities. Many problems in image analysis require a large amount of heterogeneous data to be processed, for example to denoise, to detect edges, to classify, to segment, to interpret, to estimate parameters, to detect features of interest, to monitor or to predict. To carry out such tasks, fast and efficient procedures are required which can adapt to the local (in space or time) state of the system. Examples of such procedures are regularization methods, wavelets, Bayesian procedures, diffusion techniques, spectral analysis or filtering. The workshop will cover both theoretical, practical and algorithmic aspects of the procedures. Vacature TUD Faculteit/afdeling: Elektrotechniek, Wiskunde en Informatica Docent Wiskunde Niveau: WO Contractduur: Tijdelijk contract voor 2 jaar Functie-omvang: 38 uur (1FTE) De afdeling DIAM (Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics) doet onderzoek op het gebied van het ontwerp, de analyse en simulatie van wiskundige modellen. Dit onderzoek is zowel analytisch als numeriek van aard en is geinspireerd vanuit technische toepassingen. De afdeling speelt een actieve rol in de vertaling van de onderzoekresultaten naar concrete praktische toepassingen. Zij onderhoudt intensieve contacten met de andere faculteiten van de TU Delft, de grote technologische instituten (ECN, NLR, WL, Rijkswaterstaat, MARIN, TNO) en research laboratoria van grote bedrijven. De afdeling verzorgt op haar eigen vakgebied het onderwijs voor de Bachelor opleiding Technische Wiskunde, het Master programme Applied Mathematics en levert een bijdrage aan het serviceonderwijs voor de andere faculteiten van de TU Delft. Functiebeschrijving Als Docent Wiskunde word je geplaatst bij een van de basiseenheden van het Delft Institute of Applied Mathematics (DIAM). De basiseenheden verzorgen onderwijs en verrichten onderzoek op hun specifieke gebied van wiskundige modelvorming en toepassingen in de technische wetenschappen. Je geeft onderwijs in de Bachelor opleiding Technische Wiskunde, het Master programme Applied Mathematics, en andere onderwijsopleidingen binnen de TU Delft. Functie-eisen Je hebt een universitaire opleiding Wiskunde en bent inmiddels gepromoveerd. Je hebt affiniteit en ervaring met of aanleg voor het geven van inspirerend onderwijs. Bovendien heb je goede communicatieve vaardigheden en interdisciplinaire belangstelling. De TU Delft stelt specifieke eisen aan de Engelse taalvaardigheid van onderwijsgevenden en biedt hiertoe trainingen aan.
