Een van de onderzoekszwaartepunten binnen Biometris is de systeembiologie, waarbij de wiskundige en statistische modellering van biologische processen op (sub)cellulair niveau centraal staan. Uw onderzoek zal binnen dit zwaartepunt ingebed worden. Samenwerking met andere groepen binnen WUR speelt daarbij een belangrijke rol. Het onderwijs betreft in eerste instantie het verzorgen van werkgroepen en practica in de wiskunde en de bijbehorende tentamens. Tevens wordt een bijdrage verwacht aan onderwijsvernieuwing. Wat wij vragen: * U hebt een doctorstitel dan wel uitzicht op een doctorstitel in de wiskunde, of een verwante richting zoals bijvoorbeeld de theoretische natuurkunde of theoretische biologie. * U hebt ervaring of grote affiniteit met mathematische modellen voor de levenswetenschappen en bent sterk gemotiveerd om onderzoek te doen op het gebied van de systeembiologie. * U bent gemotiveerd om wiskunde-onderwijs te verzorgen voor niet- wiskundestudenten. * U hebt een heldere stijl van rapporteren en presenteren en u publiceert in internationale tijdschriften.
